Experiences Tour

Meet at the Miller's Table, 42 Court St., Skowhegan

Learn about ultra-local Maine foods through first-hand experiences that will make unforgettable memories. Tour guests will leave with a goody bag of products from local businesses in addition to items they'll pick up from each experience.

Our first tour stop with be a 3-in-1 experience. You'll rotate through a tour of Maine Grains, pairing at Crooked Face Creamery, and pasta-making with the Maine Meal. We'll then hop on a stagecoach to a Maine Grain Alliance heritage grain plot where you'll be able to mill your own wheat and corn. Next, the stagecoach will take us to Tessiers Farm for butter making (and cute farm animals) and then Oak Pond Brewery for a tour and sampling! View the detailed itinerary below.

8:45-9 a.m.—Meet under the pergola at The Miller's Table at Maine Grains, 42 Court Street, Skowhegan, Maine 04976 

Maine Grains
9-9:25 a.m.—You'll tour the thriving grist mill where Maine Grains uses a traditional stone-milling process for their locally sourced organic grains.

Crooked Face Creamery
9:30-9:55 a.m.—Next door to Maine Grains, learn about and pair hand-crafted artisan cheeses with local wine and brew.

The Maine Meal
10-10:30 a.m.—Enjoy a fresh pasta experience with the Maine Meal, purveyors of gourmet prepared meals.

Maine Grain Alliance
10:55-11:30 a.m.—Learn about the Maine Grain Alliance's work with heritage grain plots and mill your own wheat and corn.

Tessiers Farm
11:40 a.m.-12:15 p.m.—This family farm will offer a tour and the opportunity to make, taste, and take home your own butter.

Oak Pond Brewery
12:30—1 p.m. Tour and sample at this family owned and operated craft brewery. When OPB opened in 1996, it was Skowhegan's first brewery in 115 years!
